The short version

  • We want every student and family to be able to use our site and our tutoring.
  • We aim to follow recognized accessibility standards on www.dfwtestprep.com.
  • If something doesn't work for you, tell us - we'll fix it or find another way to help.
  • Need an accommodation for prep? Just ask: questions@dfwtestprep.com.

01Our commitment

At More Than A Teacher, we believe good tutoring should be available to every student who wants it. We're committed to making both our website and our tutoring services usable by people with a wide range of abilities, including students and parents who use assistive technologies, have visual or hearing differences, or have learning differences.

02Standards we work toward

We aim for our website, www.dfwtestprep.com, to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities - for example, by ensuring sufficient color contrast, keyboard navigation, descriptive alt text on images, and content that works with screen readers.

We test our site with automated accessibility tools, including Google Lighthouse, where we currently score 100 on accessibility. Automated tools don't catch every issue, so we treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility and continue to improve the site over time.

03Accommodations for prep

  • Registered as a PDSES provider
  • Extended time for practice tests
  • Frequent breaks
  • Materials in larger print or alternative formats
  • Use of text-to-speech or speech-to-text tools during sessions
  • Quieter, lower-distraction settings (in person or online)
  • Coordination with a student's existing IEP, 504 plan, or school accommodations

04Assistive technology

  • Screen readers (such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver)
  • Screen magnification software
  • Speech recognition software
  • Keyboard-only navigation

If you find a page or feature that doesn't work well with your assistive technology, please tell us.

05Known limitations

Like most websites, ours isn't perfect. Some areas we're aware of and working on:

  • Older documents may not be tagged for screen readers. If you need an accessible version, please let us know.
  • Third-party tools we use, like Zoom, have their own accessibility features and limitations. Please let us know if these need to be enabled for sessions.

06Feedback

We rely on feedback to know what's working and what isn't. If you run into an accessibility problem on our site, have trouble accessing our tutoring or prep services, want to request an accommodation, or want to pay via PDSES, please contact us at questions@dfwtestprep.com.
